The goal of the RVTC Cooperative Education Program is to provide work-based learning experiences where RVTC students can:

• learn in a safe, professional environment in which students develop self-respect and a more positive self-image.
• develop the skills and knowledge necessary to make appropriate and informed decisions in the career development process,
• develop general employability skills including dependability, communications, human relations, problem solving and organizational skills,
• develop positive work ethics and values such as honesty, loyalty, and tolerance of diversity,
• develop specific technical skills needed to succeed in the students’ chosen career path, and
• apply academics skills essential to the students’ chosen career path.
