Overview/Purpose
As part of the state assessment plan, the screener and assessment evaluate student English language proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing for English Language (ELL) students.
Population
Grades K-12, Students eligible for ELL services
How Data are Used and Shared
Data are returned to districts in the spring of the school year. Student-level reports are provided to families. Data are used at the state level for accountability and at the district/school/classroom level to monitor and improve instructional programs.
A quick note about Test Materials Ordering – Please be sure to watch the training webinar and read the section in the manual before completing the ordering process. Additionally, when ordering paper materials (for students who have an IEP or students for whom using technology would be a barrier, please note that Tier A is for newcomer students, Tier C for those students who are on the verge of exiting and Tier B for the other 80-90% of students.
