Overview/Purpose
This one-on-one assessment is administered to students in grades K-5 a minimum of 2 times annually to measure Fountas & Pinnell reading levels and to identify student strengths and potential areas of growth in the area of reading. Depending on student needs, additional assessments may be administered for a maximum of 5 times annually.

How Data are Used and Shared
Data are gathered by listening to students read passages and accurately carry on comprehension conversations. This provides measures of accuracy, fluency, and comprehension. Teachers use these results to help provide differentiated reading instruction for all students.
