The Sustainability Laboratory is looking forward to Session 2 of its inaugural conversation series, Exploring the Sustainability Challenge. This session, The Science of Climate Change, will take place on Wednesday, May 26th, at 6:00 p.m. EDT. Register today if you haven't already!
We are thrilled that this event will feature Jennifer Francis, Senior Scientist at the Woodwell Climate Research Center, who will be interviewed by Michael Ben-Eli, founder of The Sustainability Laboratory. If you are unfamiliar with Jennifer Francis and her work, allow us to introduce you to her!
Jennifer Francis is considered a leading expert on the links between climate change and extreme weather events.
Her research at the Woodwell Climate Research Center focuses on the rapidly changing Arctic and weather patterns in lower latitudes.
She has been published in Nature, Scientific American, the International Journal of Climatology and The Washington Post, quoted in The New York Times, and featured in many other scientific publications and news outlets.
She has provided expert testimony at congressional hearings on the subject of climate change.
An avid sailor, Jennifer Francis has circumnavigated the globe with her husband, and they currently live aboard their sailboat, Saphira!
Exploring the Sustainability Challenge is the inaugural conversation series of The Sustainability Laboratory. Each event will feature a lively conversation between Michael Ben-Eli and a thought leader, discussing an urgent sustainability issue facing the planet.
