This month our theme is Winter Fun. We will be reading the book The Mitten and talking and learning about all kinds of ways to enjoy the winter.

Concepts:

• Review all the letters and sounds

• Word families

• Sight words

  • Beginning sounds and blending sounds

  • Measurement

  • Numbers 1-10

Letter of the week: Please continue practicing the letters and sounds.

Skating: We will be skating on Thursdays. Please remember to bring skates and helmet(no bike helmets). Please make sure your child is dressed warm to be outside for 30 minutes, so that they can enjoy their time on the ice.

We will need adults to help tie skates.

Special Helper: students can bring one thing they got for Christmas that they would like to share with the class.

Check the calendar to see when your child is the special helper.
