***Students are responsible for all missed work when absent or injured. If not present, students are responsible for checking in with the teacher to inform them of missed work or make-up work.
A parent note is valid for the first 3 days. If the child is going to be unable to participate for more than 3 days at a time, a doctor’s note is required. If a student is at school, but unable to participate, then the student will be required to complete a written assignment during class time. Assessments
Assessments are a way for the students and teachers to see what they have learned. Students should look at assessments as a way to show off the learning that has taken place. We look at assessment as progress monitoring. Because we are most interested in the students actually learning the content, students will have an opportunity to earn additional points for written assessments when the initial assessment showed that more learning needed to take place. Students are allowed to retake quizzes and tests within a week of the original assessment.
