During the sit-up test, students will do as many repetitions as they can in one minute. They will be working in a group of three for this test and each student will have a specific role. THE HOLDER holds the testers feet while counting every repetition they do. The holder should be sitting on the knees with either their knees or hands on the testers feet. THE COACH sits next to the tester and counts each fault. A fault occurs if the testers palms come off their ears, elbows do not touch or pass the tops of their knees, their shoulder blades do not touch the mat between reps, or their hips come up off the mat. At the end of the minute, the faults counted by the coach are subtracted from the holder's total which then give the tester their final sit-up count. THE TESTER is to perform as many repetitions as they can in one minute.
Students are graded based on the number of repetitions they do as it relates to their previous test score.
