During the push-up test, students are expected to do as many repetitions as possible while maintaining proper form. Students will be working in a group of 3 and each will have a specific role. THE COUNTER is to lay flat on their stomach with one arm fully extended and their hand in a fist. It is their responsibility to count each repetition and to make sure that the tester is touching their chin to the fist. If the chin does not touch the fist, the test is over. THE COACH is to sit next to the tester. The coach is looking for any form breaks including- repositioning of the hands or the feet, hips sagging or raising, knees touching the ground or a delay of more than 2 seconds between repetitions. The coach is to stop the test if any form breaks occur. THE TESTER does as many push-ups as they can while maintaining proper form. They are to stop if the counter or the coach announces that there has been a form break.
Students are graded based on the number of repetitions they do as it relates to their previous test score.
