7th/8th MAKE

MAKE is a hands-on project based class in which students gain confidence to design and create with a number of the basic tools of a maker space shop such as a the band saw, drill press, table saw, hand drills in addition to learning how to create with technology driven tools such as a CNC router and laser cutter. Students explore the fundamentals of design and computer aided drafting. These skills are combined with the knowledge of the basic shop tools to allow students the freedom to design and craft their personalized end of course projects. Custom class projects might include wooden candle holders, pallet signs, desktop lamps, cutting boards, game boards, jewelry, or puzzles.
