Directions for assignment:
1. Choose a partner to work with on this assignment.
2. Choose ONE of the three assignment choices to complete on a famous historical person.
3. These choices include: Creating a FaceBook page, making a brochure, or writing a letter.
4. Next, after you select what type of assignment you would like to do: Choose a famous historical person from the list above to complete your project.
5. You will need to do some research on the person you have selected in order to complete these assignments correctly.
5. Follow the directions BELOW for the assignment you chose. Have fun and be creative!
Choice 1: FaceBook Page
Be creative, you can make it humorous, but make sure what you are putting down is historically accurate
1. Insert a picture of the historical figure
2. Name of Historical Figure
3. Network - what groups of people would they associate with
4. My Information/Resume/Things accomplished in life
5-6. Name and picture of people the historical figure would have been friends with
7. Favorite Books - use either real or fictional books that the historical person would have/could have read
8-16 - Recent Activity use examples below.

Choose another historical figure and have a meaningful reaction with them on your FaceBook Wall
Choice 2: Making a Brochure
(This brochure would be one you may see at a museum--Your job is to inform visitors about the person you chose in a creative way)
1. Select a historical person from the list above.
2. Research the person and gather information.
3. Your brochure must include the following:
A brief summary of the person’s life
Why they were important to Revolutionary War-
A bulleted list or written paragraph about their contributions or accomplishments
Also include pictures/graphics in your brochure
4. Make sure your brochure is creative! Remember, brochures should help inform, advertise, and also catch people’s attention. Limit the amount of wording on each page. ( Bullet lists are good for brochures)
* Reminder: Make SURE that you cover all topics in DETAIL in order to receive full credit.
Choice 3: Write a letter
1. Select a historical person from the list above.
2. Research the person and gather information about them.
3. Write/ Type a letter to YOU from the historical person’s point of view.
4. Your letter must include the following:
A brief summary of the person’s life (Introducing themselves)
The contributions/accomplishments in their life
If they had struggles---What were they? How did they deal with this?
Why they are an important historical figure in Revolutionary War
This letter should be a minimum of 3-5 paragraphs. Remember, that paragraphs usually include 5-7 sentences!
5. For this assignment....be creative! Put yourself in the person’s shoes and write from their perspective. Have fun!
Mini Project # 2: Choosing your Battle
Directions for this assignment:
1. You and your partner need to select ONE battle from the choices
(in red) that you are interested in learning more about.
2. Research. Research. Research. Learn as much information as you can about the battle. You will need to know this in order to complete this assignment correctly.
3. After you are done with your research...it is time to begin writing in Google Docs.
4. Answer the following questions (see below under the battles) in complete detail. Your responses should provide insight about your battle, be historically accurate, and in complete sentences. (Paragraph form--- Take your time on this.)
5. After you have finished all of the questions and responded with complete and detailed answers, then you are ready to SHARE this assignment on Google Docs with me for a grade. ( MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FOLLOWED ALL DIRECTIONS BEFORE YOU SHARE YOUR DOCUMENT!)
