Awards and Certificates

Students at LDHSS have the opportunity to work towards the following awards and graduation certificates:

Honour Society

     - 80% average or higher 

                Gr. 9 & 10 - 8 credits, current year

                Gr. 11 - 7 credits, current year

                Gr. 12 - 6 credits, current year

Silver Medal

     - 90% average or higher 

                Gr. 9 & 10 - 8 credits, current year

                Gr. 11 - 7 credits, current year

                Gr. 12 - 6 grade 12 credits, not necessarily current year

Ontario Scholar

     - 80% average or higher 

                Any 6 grade 12 credits taken over the past 24 months

French Immersion Certificate

    -requires 4 credits in French as a Second Language (Grade 9 and 10 at the Immersion or Extended level), plus 6 additional credits taken in French

French Extended Certificate

    -requires 4 credits in French as a Second Language (Grade 9 and 10 at the Immersion or Extended level), plus 3 additional credits taken in French

Technology Studies Certificate

    -requires 8 credits in Technology (depending on the placement, some Co-op credits may count)

Business Certificate

    -requires 6 credits in Business

International Certificate

    -requires the completion of 3 components. Please click here for more information
