Where are students placed?

Colonel By Co-op students are placed in a wide variety of placements. There are some considerations (safety, privacy, liability, etc.) that limit student access to certain workplaces, but every attempt is made to find a placement in the students' interests. Their Co-op teacher is responsible for finding the placement and conducting a placement assessment to determine its suitability. Students may ask to be placed at certain locations. However, the request will still be subject to a placement assessment. Special circumstances for student placements are considered on a case-by-case basis by the Co-op teacher and the Colonel By administration. Examples of a special circumstances may include working with a relative/family member, completing a second year at the same placement, etc.
