These situations are considered on a case by case basis. Students are able to do their Co-op at their place of work as long as they are completing something other than what they would typically be doing and new learning is taking place. With regards to remuneration, this will be discussed between the placement supervisor and the Co-op teacher. Getting paid for completing Co-op is rare and this type of "specialized Co-op" needs to be approved by the Co-op teacher as well as the school administration.
