OUAC Application
To ensure that you are correctly identified as a current Ontario high school applicant in your Undergraduate application, please ensure that you add the correct information for the "To Date" field and the OSSD question on the Education page.
The "To Date" for your current Ontario high school must be when you will finish Grade 12 ( between September 2024 and August 2025). If you are finishing Grade 12 in June 2025, you need to add "June 2025" as the "To Date". This applies to graduated students returning to take additional credits as well. If you add a "To Date" outside of this range, you will not be recognized as a current Ontario high school student.
For the question "Will you achieve your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) by the end of the current school year, or have you already achieved it?", which is found in the 'Tell Us More' section on the Education page, you must select "Yes". You will then be prompted to add your OEN. If you answer "No", you will not be recognized as a current Ontario high school student.
OUAC Dates
A reminder about important OUAC dates.
September 19, 2024 - The Undergraduate Application is live!
Applications are due by January 15th.
The latest date that an Ontario University can send you a response to your application is May 29th.
June 3rd is the earliest date that you may be required to respond to an Ontario University offer of admission and give a financial commitment (ie: registration deposit, residence deposit, etc). All other admission-related elements, including scholarships, other forms of student assistance of financial incentives and offers of residence, are considered part of the offer of admission. Therefore, a student may accept these other offers before June 3, 2025, but Ontario Universities will not compel a student in any way to make a decision before this date.
If you are applying to out-of-province universities, you must apply directly to the institution by their deadline, and you will need to request your transcript from Student Services.
**Please request your transcript from Student Services at least 3 days before you need it**

Bridge to Campus
Bridge to Campus is a student-led nonprofit initiative that connects high school students to university mentors. We aim to guarantee a smooth transition into university for high school students, irrespective of their socioeconomic background, with all mentorship provided at no cost. We offer two services: one-on-one mentoring and webinars.
Our mentorship program pairs high school students with university students who share similar interests and extracurricular activities, allowing for personalized online meetings to discuss university admissions, campus life, and overcoming challenges.
Our webinars feature university students from various majors who share their experiences and answer live questions. Each school semester, we hold two webinars; the first semester focuses on Canadian university applications, and the second semester covers selecting the right Canadian university for each student.
Enriched Support Program (ESP) at Carleton University
ESP is a program which assists students who have the academic potential to succeed in a university setting, though whose grades are not necessarily reflective of this. The program offers various supports such as access to mentors, student advisors, academic coaching, and facilitated workshops, in order to assist students in achieving their academic potential.
Oftentimes, ESP students are those whose grades do not meet the requirements to gain initial admission into an undergraduate degree program. By completing a year in ESP, students are given the chance to complete credits that will count towards a degree program and later apply to gain admission into that program. Feel free to explore here for more information about our program.
