Student Mentoring by Faculty

The faculty mentor assignments are posted on the Google Drive student database.

Meet with your student mentees at least once per semester
Students must submit a copy of their STAR (Academic Report) or Unofficial Transcript to the department admin and director of didactic education at the beginning of each semester. This will be filed in the student records on the x-drive. The faculty mentor will review the submission prior to or during the meeting. Students may refer to their Students Resources page for guidance on printing their STAR or Unofficial Transcript, tell them to check these tips on their Student Resources page: https://sites.google.com/a/nyit.edu/studentresources/home/howto
UPDATE: Students may no longer be able to print out their STARs. If that is the case, please refer to HOW TO >>
Faculty must document this meeting by completing and submitting the Faculty Mentor Form.
- Faculty must meet with each student mentee at least once per academic semester.
- Faculty are asked to meet with each student mentee twice (one per academic semester during the clinical phase)

Other encounters with a student must be documented using the Student Encounter Form
