Frank Thompson Plowman (1881-1955), was born on August 16, 1881, at Hammond, Lake County, Indiana, son of Edwin Plowman (1850-1917) and Grace Zimmerman (1851-1941).
On June 3, 1908 he married Osie Vivian Bergman (1885-1956), at Sedgwick, Kansas
Plowman was the owner of Nutmeg Stamp Company, Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut established 1913. He used to run small two line ads in MeKeel's Weekly Stamp News.

On July 20, 1915 he divorced his first wife Osie Vivian Bergman.
On August 13, 1924 at Norwalk, Connecticut he married his second wife Vera Hoffman (1903-19??), his junior by 20 years.
The1930 U.S.Census lists him as the owner of Nutmeg Stamp Co., working as a records clerk for the federal government, married to Vera H. Plowman his wife.

Frank T. Plowman died three months prior to his 74th birthday at Stamford, Connecticut on May 20, 1955.
A new an unaffiliated company called Nutmeg Stamp Sales was formed in the late 1990's at Bethel, Connecticut. A new stamp dealership with a similar name was inevitable since Connecticut is called the Nutmeg State.
