Welcome to English I

The ninth-grade curriculum builds upon and further develops the skills and concepts you learn in middle school. We will write and speak with a clear focus, coherent organization, and sufficient detail. The class examines contemporary literature as well as conducts research on our individual interests. Independent reading is also a key part of the course -- I want you to have time to explore books that interest you.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

By the end of the course, you will effectively express your unique point of view using evidence and details.
