Mini-Essay Guide

Writing a mini-essay

When you need to write about complex ideas, you should write in multiple paragraphs to make sure your reader can follow your thoughts. In a timed situation, this can be difficult. At the very least you should include:

  • An introduction that provides context and states your claim/idea

  • A body that provides evidence to support your claim/idea

  • A conclusion that summarizes the claim you've made and connects to the reader
