The Board of Education shall maintain adequate insurance programs to cover district property, liability and personnel, within the requirements of good insurance management and state law.The administration will recommend to the Board the kind and amount of property, casualty and/or liability insurance needed for the protection of the district property, employees, andBoard of Education, and will administer insurance authorized by the Board, unless otherwise directed.

Every effort shall be made to obtain insurance at the most economical cost consistent with required service, by obtaining quotations or by negotiations,  whichever method is advantageous tothe district.
