🎻  FCF on WCSH6's 207! 🎻

Enjoy!
The Franklin County Fiddlers program is founded and directed by MBRSD orchestra teacher, Steve Muise. The program has been continuing to delight audiences since 1993. A "multi-stylistic fiddle band" comprised of students from Mt. Blue High School, the fiddlers have toured the Canadian Maritimes 3 times, and has also toured Ireland, Québec, Boston, and Nashville in 2002, and to Louisiana in 2007.
Students audition for membership each spring, and FCF rehearses on Monday evenings.
The group creates the arrangements under Mr. Muise's direction, and learns about style, stage presence, tone, composing, and improvisation.
Mr. Muise also volunteers to run the Mt. Blue Middle School Franklin County Fiddlers, a non-auditioned experiential group that traditionally meets on Fridays after school. Â
