Singapore reports highest number of dengue cases in a week for 2015
There was an increase in the Aedes mosquito population due to the slightly warmer than usual year-end weather in 2015 due to the El Nino phenomenon.The warmer conditions support faster breeding and maturation cycles for mosquitoes and shortens incubation periods for the dengue virus, the agency added.Â
