Padlet Activity: Why did the bulb stop glowing?

Dear boys,

Follow the instructions in this activity.

Set up the following circuit below with your components.

1) What do you observe about the light bulb after closing the switch?

2) By adding only ONE additional wire to the existing set-up, suggest how you will arrange it such that it causes the bulb to glow less brightly or stop glowing. 

Draw the new circuit diagram inside your Science journal. 

QUESTION: Why did the bulb glow dimly/stop glowing after the addition of another wire into your setup?
