Grants & Awards

I have submitted many grant proposals at the university, state, and national level, serving as both the PI and as a member of a research team. I have received many small grants to support ongoing research, experiential learning, and program needs. In addition, I have established trusting relationships with non-profits such as the Chattanooga Sports Committee and city/county governments, which have resulted in funded projects that were not solicited as grant proposals. I served as the co-PI on a state funded grant through the Cumberland Trail State Park, and was co-author on two national proposals (NSF and Robert Wood Johnson). Finally, I was the PI on a funded grant appropriating state funds for the Center for Excellence in Applied Computer Science and Engineering (CEACSE), and co-author on two other CEACSE grants, which were not funded.
