What happens when fluids exert pressure?
fluid - any material that can flow and takes the shape of its container
pressure- the measure of how much force is acting on a given area
pascal- the SI unit for pressure
atmospheric pressure- the pressure caused by the weight of the atmosphere
buoyant force- upward force that fluid exert o matter
Archimes' principle- states that buoyant force acting on an object in a fluid that the object displaces
float- when an object's weight is equal to the buoyant force
sink - when an object's weight is greater than the buoyant force
buoyed up - when the buoyant force is greater than the object's weight
