Habits for Happy Successful Kids

The counseling curriculum at the Upper Elementary has a major focus of teaching and exploring habits students can develop/practice that will bring happiness and success to their lives. The habits can help students with friendships, family relationships, self-esteem, self-control, academic development, future career goals, and growing understanding of themselves as an individual.

First Semester Each School Year

  • All 4th grade students are taught introductory lessons on 8 habits.

  • 5th grade students build on these lessons while learning about personal strengths and careers

  • 6th Grade these are behavior expectations and reviewed during the monthly character education announcements.

What are the 8 habits?

7. Sharpen the Saw

8. Find YOUR Voice, then Inspire Others to Find Theirs
