Lockwood Legends Project--preserving the history of Lockwood School and community
Officers of the newly organized Lockwood school Y-Teen Club were installed Wednesday evening following a potluck dinner at the YWCA. Miss Jean Alexander, youth activity director, and club members are shown left to right, Geraldine Becker, Carolyn Lindenfield, vice-president; Mildred Stansberry, secretary; Heather Smyth, president; Nita Stanhope, treasurer, and Jeanette Becker. Not pictured is Mrs. Warren Lindenfield, club advisor. The group will make Easter favors for hospital patients at their next meeting to be held at the home of the club president.

Marvin Klampe, left, principal of Lockwood Junior High School, presented the Klampe Sportsmanship trophy to Fred Brush, center, son of Mr. and Mrs. P.O. Brush, and Beverly Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Peterson, at an awards assembly at the school Tuesday. The award was made this year for the first time, Klampe said, and is to be awarded annually to a boy and girl at Lockwood who are to be selected on the basis of leadership, personality, and academic achievement.--

Awards went to Betty Stapleton, left, and Errol Seiffert, members of the freshman class. Betty's parents are Mr. and Mrs. William Stapleton of the Lockwood Community. Errol is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Seiffert, also of Lockwood.
