Senior Expectations is our way of informing the seniors and their parents/guardians of the guidelines concerning participation in the graduation ceremony and the consequences should the guidelines not be followed, and to provide important information regarding the Commencement Exercises.
Commencement is a traditional school ceremony for conferring diplomas and certificates of completion to graduating seniors in the presence of their invited family and friends. It is the school’s way of honoring each student who has completed all academic requirements for graduation and has met all their obligations to the school.
Participation in the Commencement Exercises is a PRIVILEGE AND VOLUNTARY. Students who fulfill the graduation requirements in a timely manner will have earned the privilege of participating in Commencement. It is the staff’s wish to make graduation at King Kekaulike High School a dignified, memorable and very special event for the graduates and their family and friends. This can only be accomplished with the cooperation and support of the seniors and their families.
The VIRTUAL Senior Expectations Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 5 at 6:30pm. A hard copy packet of the information covered in this meeting will be distributed to seniors prior to the meeting. Project Graduation will also be sharing information.
This meeting is MANDATORY if your child is participating in this year's commencement exercises. If your senior is not planning to participate, please let our Student Activities Coordinator know <ronnie.kihara@k12.hi.us>.
