Private Lesson Teachers

Students are encouraged to take private lessons in addition to their Orchestra participation. Private lessons are great for students who would like some extra help or who feel they need a challenge. Email your orchestra teacher for a list of teachers in the area!

*Please note: Many of these teachers have been recommend by other music professionals. We do not know every person on our list personally.

Be sure to ask these questions when searching for a private teacher:

1. What dates and times to they have available?

2. What is their location?

3. What is their rate and how long are your lessons?

4. What are their thoughts on working on school music during lessons?

5. What are their practicing expectations?

6. What are their parent expectations? Are parents required to sit in on lessons?

7. Do they offer any recitals or other performance opportunities?

8. Ask for a trial lesson if possible to make sure they are a good fit.
