Grading
In orchestra, I will keep the online grade books on Skyward updated as much as possible--I try to keep them updated weekly. We do not give your student an orchestra grade--your student earns their orchestra grade. Please check the online grade books weekly and talk to your student often to keep up with your student's status in band.
My responsibility is to update the grade book, your responsibility is to check it.
Your student's orchestra grade is broken up into two different categories:
Formative Assessments (15% of grade): rehearsal skills, in-class assignments and activities, etc.
Summative Assessments (85% of grade): playing assignments, concerts, etc.
