Quantum Materials

Marcelo Barbosa completed his PhD degree in Physics in 2019. He has been studying the location and excited electronic states of impurities/dopants in wide band gap semiconductors (such as GaN and Ga2O3) using DFT simulations and the radioactive spectroscopy technique TDPAC.

Research Topics: Wide band gap semiconductors, DFT simulations, hyperfine techniques.
