Terracycle Brigades

TerraCycle's purpose is to eliminate the idea of waste. They do this by creating national recycling systems for previously non-recyclable or hard-to-recycle waste. Anyone can sign up for these programs, called the Brigades, and start sending them waste - postage paid, and collect funds for the effort.

Current brigades offered by Green Bellevue volunteers are:

• Note - We are no longer shipping shoes to Terracycle. Nike Store in Gretna Nebraska Crossings Outlet takes used athletic shoes.

• Health/energy bar wrappers

• Empty pens, markers, highlighters

• Used makeup products

If your group is doing a large collection, consider signing up for your own brigade at www.terracycle.com. You can keep the monies earned (if you are a non-profit organization) or you can tell Terracycle to send them to Green Bellevue or another non-profit of your choosing.
