Morgan Brown (Dept Chair)
Background:
I began teaching at The Grauer School in 2009, with a focus on math and science. I am currently teaching mainly Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Physics as well as coaching robotics and soccer.
Before coming to The Grauer School I taught for one year at CSU San Marcos and was a teaching assistant for numerous physics classes at UC San Diego.
What students can expect
Tough but fair. I ensure the students know what to expect, so that they have every chance to do as well as they wish. However, I will hold students to a high level of accountability and expect follow through from them.
I encourage students to actively reflect on their performance and evaluate themselves as learners. I seek to develop intellectual curiosity and intrinsic motivation while focusing heavily on problem solving and critical thinking skills. I believe people should have a logical reason for everything they do, and strive to teach by example in this respect.
