Background:

I am a graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a B.A. in Psychology and a Post-Baccalaureate in Mathematics. I have been a Math and Science teacher for ten years, having taught 6-8th grade Math and Science, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Biology. Additionally, in previous roles I have also been Associate Student Body Director, Yearbook Advisor, Academic Advisor, Online Course of Studies Director and Chair of the Math Department.

What students can expect:

I became a teacher because I wanted to show students that math does not have to be scary if you think about it the right way. I like to challenge my students and show them how to take their math skills to the next level through diligence and dedication to their studies. As a teacher, I feel it is my mission to not only inspire my students' interests in their subjects, but to promote self-confidence and to ensure that each student is performing at an optimal level. I take pride in knowing that my instruction has helped each student become a better-rounded individual. I try to inspire all of my students to be the best that they can be through self-advocacy. I am really excited about meeting all the students at The Grauer School, and having an exceptional school year!
