Background:

Jessi has been a teacher at The Grauer School since 2003. As an undergraduate at UC Davis, she double majored in Political Science and History. After college, Jessi moved to Barcelona where she taught English as a second language for two years and traveled extensively through Europe. Upon her return to San Diego, she worked as a math tutor and a bilingual instructional aide at a local high school before coming to Grauer. At The Grauer School Jessi is primarily a teacher, but she is also an educational mentor, the humanitarian service coordinator and a member of the development team. Jessi completed her master's degree in Spanish at SDSU in 2014.

What students can expect:

In Business Math, students can expect to learn concepts with real-world applications that are useful not only in a business setting, but in day-to-day life (starting now). Students will be doing a lot of project-based learning to make the class as applicable to their lives as possible. I expect students to participate in class discussions, to be accountable for their work, and to show up ready to learn and engage.
