Background:
After graduating from UCSD with my Bachelors in Mathematics for Secondary Education and Masters for Secondary Education, I taught for 2 years at Mission Bay High School. Then my family and I moved to North County and I taught from home for online-based charter schools for 7 years. I enjoyed working with alternative educational models and being home with my children while they were small, but I am very excited to be at Grauer and work in person with our incredible students!
What Students Can Expect:
I am a pretty easy-going, fun-loving person and prefer a relaxed but clean and organized learning environment. Even with a more relaxed environment, I hold my students accountable for doing their best and making responsible decisions when it comes to their schoolwork and working with classmates. I believe students should strive to master the material at the highest level they feel comfortable with and communicate to me often (daily!) if they ever feel they do not understand the content.
Other Interest:
Vegan cooking, yoga, knitting, spinning (yarn), hiking and travel!
