Sound Attenuated Booth:
Hello everyone!
Are you doing any recording or perception studies for your final projects? If so, the LingLab offers tons of useful equipment for your research, including this week’s featured Tech of the Week: the sound-attenuated booth!
Even though it may look like just a big beige box, this beautiful, acoustic sanctum is meticulously designed to enhance the quality of your phonetic data collection.
In the sound-attenuated booth, you’ll be equipped to conduct high-quality phonetic research by capturing clear speech recordings without the influence of any external ambient noise, which allows you to analyze speech sounds, intonation patterns, and pronunciation nuances with the highest level of precision.
Here are just a few examples of how you can use the sound booth:
🎙️ Language Preservation Research and Recordings
📞 Dialectology Studies
🗣️ Fluency and Pronunciation Studies
💬 Language Acquisition Studies
💡Psycholinguistic Experiments
