The Linguistics Lab and Data Acquisition Lab can be reserved by Linguistics Department faculty members and graduate students for purposes related to linguistics. Graduate students may reserve the Data Acquisition Lab (ICC 233) for research purposes. To use both lab spaces, the student must be sponsored by an individual faculty member. Graduate students should identify a sponsor and notify that faculty member when they make their request before they fill out the request form.
There are certain points during the semester (usually right before finals) at which we receive a lot of requests for lab space. The Data Acquisition Lab has three mini-rooms. So that we can best accommodate the greatest number of students, please indicate how many of the rooms you will need on your reservation form.
Graduate students may reserve the Linguistics Lab (ICC 201) for group work, although the lab will remain open during those times for students who wish to work individually on the computers.
To make a reservation for either lab, faculty and graduate students must fill out this Google form at least two working days in advance.
Please check the lab calendar before submitting your request.
