GE 2022-Research and Technology (traditional, hybrid and online)
I taught face-to-face version in Spring 2010. Since then, I have been teaching GE 2022 using online and hybrid format as part of co-investigator of a research project that is conducted by GE department. The goal of this research is to explore different learning styles, delivery formats to improve GE2022-Research and Technology course. See attached protocol for the research IRB paperwork in Appendix IV. In Spring 2011, we will continue our research. I developed a Blackboard shell that are shared with the other instructors. Based on this course, I have conducted research and also presented our research findings as a team in conferences.
EMSE 4900-Senior Seminar
This is a capstone course for college of education students. It involves a portfolio and classroom based research and analysis of data for each student. It is the most challenging and rewarding course because of the nature of Teacher Work Sample (TWS) projects that are part of the portfolio. This is the last course to make sure teacher candidates are ready for the teaching profession. I developed pre and post survey to assess my teacher candidates’ needs. http://ku.us2.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_eKHnoTsQQ0P3QBD
AS-2000- Introduction to Asian Studies
I wrote the course outline in Fall 2011 and taught for the first time in Spring 2012. I collaborated with all Asian Studies faculty. Each faculty was invited to come for a mini-lesson and present upcoming Asian Studies courses. I developed an innovative and interactive interdisciplinary approach to attracting students to Asian Studies program using new technologies. I organized a field trip for my students to United Nations, Asia Society and Japan Society with the support of Asian Studies Department. I designed and conducted Pre-and Post-test using qualtrics. Students are invited all Asian Studies faculty for a tea party to showcase and celebrate our final projects. Students served tea and snacks from Asian countries.
I invited speakers for the classroom. (e.g. Dr. Prakash Kumar Shresthas an invited talk on Nepal. Nov 28, 2012. http://myildiz.weebly.com/uploads/6/9/8/2/6982633/talk_about_nepal-_nov_28__11_am.jpg )
I used the survey to assess my students’ needs and outlined their improvements.

ID 3051- Computer Technology in Today’s Inclusive Society (Assistive Technology)
I taught this course for special education department for Fall 2011- Spring 2012 for Special Education department. In this course, teacher candidates designed lesson plans based on Universal Design of Learning (UDL) model. In this course, students worked on innovative interdisciplinary lessons that included Maps, Math and Media. I am currently working on a chapter called: “Maps, Math and Media in Teacher Education: Integrating Mobile Technologies in Multicultural Multilingual Multimedia Projects. In this article, I will have a chance to share my students’ innovative multilingual and multicultural multimedia projects.

ID 2950- Technology and the Young Child:
I taught this course in Spring 2010, Fall 2010. Students in this course developed curriculum projects that integrates global education and new technologies into their subject field and posted their projects on google sites. Based on our students’ artifacts and projects, I co-presented at Global Education conference (International and Online) in 2010, 2011, 2012 as well as planning to present this Fall with my students. https://sites.google.com/a/fulbrightmail.org/id2950/
EMSE 2800- Exploring Teaching/Laboratory Experiences in Multicultural Elementary School Classrooms (K-5)
I taught in Spring 2010, Spring 2012, 2801 in Fall 2013, and 2800 in Spring 2014. This sophomore field course allowed me to visit K12 schools while our teacher candidates were attending classes. Students in this class created a google sites page and integrated their classroom observations, developed a lesson plan and most importantly started working on their teaching philosophy.

EMSE 3123- Mathematics and Science in Elementary Education
I taught EMSE 3123- Math and Science course. I have developed innovative and online resources for the students. Students developed transdisciplinary lessons integrating Math common core standards using Ipads and exploring various Apps. https://sites.google.com/a/fulbrightmail.org/emse3123

GLOB 2100- Overview of Hindi Language and Indian Culture
During May 2010, I participated Kean StarTalk Hindi project that was funded by federal government to teach critical languages such as Hindi. Project offered 3 credits option for students. Based on the project, I developed the course outline.
For the first day of classes, I created a bingo game for my students to find three peers in the room. I created a concept map, attendance and name to keep track of students. (Provided them in the folder under teaching section.)
Developed course outline for Asian Studies:
· AS-2000- Introduction to Asian Studies. I developed course outline for Asian Studies: AS 2000 and AS 4XXX. One is an introduction to Asian Studies that I developed and the other one we, the curriculum committee co-developed as a capstone course. I am the chair of Asian Studies Curriculum Committee.
Participated in Kean Summer Camps: I developed and taught Global Positioning System (GPS) project for high school students and conducted Maps, Math and Media Project with Perth Amboy High School students in Summer 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014. See website- http://ukean.wikispaces.com/MapsMathMedia
Also served students for Independent studies in AS2000- Asian Studies, SPED 5023- (Independent Study) Technology For Students With Disabilities, and ID 5801 thesis project M.A. in Mathematics Education.
