Graphic Novels, Comics, Digital Storytelling in STEM
This session is based on the project called “Global Media Literacy Project.” The study promotes STEM education through media education, offers creative strategies for producing media, for mentoring and tutoring over the internet with minimal resources.
The research focuses on: (1) providing a cultural and linguistically responsive curriculum designed for high school students;
(2) outlining multilingual and multicultural multimedia resources and projects;
(3) identifying the participants' reactions, discoveries, and experiences with the project; and
(4) showcases the process of developing learning objects such as digital storytelling projects using variety of resources (e.g powtoons, toondo, comiclife).
