Accessing Published Presentations

The Experience menu provides quick access to all published presentations. Click Browse Presentations from the drop-down menu under Experience to view the list of presentations shared by other (faculty) users.

1. Bring the mouse over to the Experience menu on FITDIL Toolbar and click Browse Presentations from the drop-down menu.

2. The Browse Presentations page will open and display the list of all presentations published by FIT faculty users.

Browse through the list, or filter the list using the search boxes at the right (search options: by Presenters (faculty members) and by Tags).

If you do not find the presentation you are searching, click on Reset Search at the bottom of the search box column to make sure to clear any filter.

3. Locate the presentation, and bring the mouse over the title. Click on View to display the presentation.

Online Media Viewer

The View option opens the online MediaViewer, FITDIL's presentation software. The view menu appears at the top of the Viewer: Full Screen, Change Layout, Help, Sync Viewers, Additional Window, and Close Viewer.

  • Change Layout gives you options of showing multiple images up to 4 images at once.
  • Sync Viewers links all the viewers so that keyboard navigation applies to all.

Also options such as image manipulation, showing metadata, and zooming in/out are available.

Toggle image manipulation (upper left corner) allows to modify the image by:

  • Rotate
  • Adjust brightness/contrast/saturation
  • Convert to Grayscale
  • Mirror image (flip horizontally)

Information about this image shows the metadata from the image record:

The dots at the bottom of the screen will show the slide order in the form of film strip:

Generating the URL

The link icon next to each option will generate a URL link to each view of the presentation.

*Note: The links created by student users are only available for the owners of the presentation. The links created by faculty may be available for other users if the permissions are set appropriately.
