Homepage

To access FITDIL, go to https://fitdil.fitnyc.edu.

FIT users can log in at any time of browsing, using their FIT usernames and current passwords, and unlock all the contents in FITDIL, including the FIT Community Collections. Or, the users can also skip the login process and jump right in to view the open collections from the FIT Library, including the Library Designer Files, Library Exhibits & Displays, and Library Special Collections and College Archives collections.

The Homepage is a navigation panel and is designed to direct you to a collection or section in FITDIL where you would like to explore.

When you click on one of the FIT Community only Collections, you will be prompted to login.

*Login is required to access the entire content in FITDIL, view and create presentations, and download images (except for some restricted collections - Only faculty users can download student work images).

FITDIL Navigation Toolbar

The FITDIL Navigation Toolbar is located at the top of the page.

The toolbar menu displays 4 options, Discover, Organize, Experience, and Search. Drop-down menus appear at each heading of Discover, Organize and Experience. Click on Search for a quick keyword search. Organize is only available for FIT users and is not accessible to guest users.

Discover

From the Discover menu on the FITDIL Toolbar, you can search or browse for media, and find out information about each collection in FITDIL.

Organize

(You do not see this menu unless you are logged in - available for FIT users only)

You can access and manage the image groups you save as presentations, images you tag as favorites, and upload and manage your own content. Hover the mouse pointer over this menu, and you will see 6 options on the drop-down menu:

- - Edit xxx (title of your previously worked presentation) provides a quick access to the presentation you have worked.
  - Your Presentations is a list of presentations you have created.
  - Your Favorites displays media (images, videos or PDF files) in FITDIL collections that you tagged as "favorite."
  - Your Content (faculty only feature) displays the content and images you uploaded.
  - Create Item (faculty only feature) is a page to start when you upload your own image to FITDIL.
  - Create Presentation is a page to create a new presentation.

Experience

From the Browse Presentation menu, you can access presentations posted by other users that are shared with you.

Search

Click on and activate the Search box to enter keyword(s) for a quick search across all the collections in FITDIL.
