Eligibility

Eligibility by course type

  • Full time, degree seeking students enrolled at ESSEC in the MSc in management, Global BBA, Global MBA, Advanced Masters may borrow up to their Cost of Attendance (COA).

  • Exchange students are not eligible as their loans are handled through their home college.

  • Summer School students who are not taking an ESSEC degree may only be eligible for a private loan from Sallie Mae and apply on line.

  • Joint courses with US schools are not eligible for loans.

  • PhD students are not eligible.

  • Students attending online courses are not eligible.

Eligibility by campus

Eligibility by status of enrollment

  • Participants enrolled in continuing education at La Defense are not eligible.

  • Students must be full-time, degree-seeking students.

Eligibility by institutions

  • Students considering doing an exchange program at a school that does not participate in the federal aid program are not eligible. Indeed, an eligible foreign institution may not enter into a written arrangement under which an ineligible institution or organization provides any portion of one or more of the eligible foreign institution's programs. Therefore, the institution is reminded that if it enters into a written agreement with an institution that is not an eligible institution (for purposes of participation in the Title IV, HEA federal student financial assistance programs) under which the ineligible institution provides part of the educational program for students enrolled in the eligible institution, the educational program is not considered to be an eligible program. The eligible institution may not certify William D. Ford Direct Loan program funds to students enrolled in an ineligible program.

  • Students considering going back to the USA for an exchange program or an internship are not eligible.
