Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Our product is built and we are in the optimization and testing phase.
Multiple components purchased to test different systems.
Substantial progress made
Accomplishments from Previous Week
able to build first prototype and it worked. Set up the controller. Have a working prototype of the app.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Philip- help with controller. Help Alex build vest. Continue to communicative with outsourcer about what needs to be done.
Alex- keep assembling vest. run tests with both cooling systems.
Carlos- generate a CAD model of the vest so FEA analysis can be done on the system as a whole. Continue working on controller.
Nathan- work on an official logo for our device and upload all the pictures form our slides to our website to show all the stages of our development

Make sure to try and split up tasks such that each student can be involved and engaged and working to their strengths.
make sure to get more raw data for presenting. Make sure to compare raw numbers of the different ideas.
Extremely well done presentation. This presentation is a perfect example of what to present to investors in the future.
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Alex- we can use two methods of ventilation, wither putting the heat sink outside the vest or creating a duct.
Carlos- we need a soldering iron to build controller.
Philip- we should use the integrated heat sink from cool innovations. Also we need to determine how we want to change our prototype app.
Risks and Areas of Concern
Placement of thermocouple for accurate reading
Optimize size and efficiency of heart sink
Removal of hot air
Learning Swift to connect app to Bluetooth receiver
Values of Kp, Ki and Kd for optimal PID controller
