Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Everyone worked on the Design Proposal Presentation that will be delivered on Thursday 4/9/20
First vest prototype along with the components nearly assembled.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Met with Instructor and sponsor to confirm that the project can be done remotely.
Successfully divided up the work load so that everyone is contributing to the project.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Philip - continue to figure out how to build a controller for the peltier device.
Alex - continue to build the prototype vest and do other various tests as needed.
Carlos - generate a CAD model of the vest so FEA analysis can be done on the system as a whole. Continue to figure out an appropriate controller for the peltier device.
Nathan - continue to develop the app for the vest. Look into what sensors can be implemented in the vest.
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
We will meet with the Sponsor this Friday 4/10/20 and include his comments
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Make sure to try and split up tasks such that each student can be involved and engaged and working to their strengths.
Don't have every student working on the same thing; There are many components to this class.
Make sure to know students strengths and have each student focus on those things.
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Alex- everyone can work on smaller components that can be shipped to be assembled as one.
Carlos-- find out if running the peltier at different voltage or at a PWM level is more efficient.
Risks and Areas of Concern
peltier will take too much power and drain battery too fast.
PID controller will be difficult to optimize to work well with changing environment.
