Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Concern over number of tie downs stating 4 is not enough. Because the beds being designed for only have four tie downs we will be trying out various ideas for creating even displacement of fabric shell.
Consider using a dry bag style on seams.
Using a ziploc style seal instead of a zipper. We like this idea a lot, parts take 3-5 months to arrive. This will be brought up with sponsor as a solution for future designs.
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Comment about using wood instead of nylon rods. This is in consideration for the next version because wood is stiffer, however we already have the nylon and nylon is more hygienic.
Comment about sanitizing the nylon mesh straps.
Silver nitrate coating to sanitize.
