Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Analysis of tube from tests
Tapered edges provided deeper penetration depth when pressure is applied. However, edges that are too tapered might break and cause injury
Smaller Tube should have sank deeper due to having less surface area sliding through the soft sediment
Type of Sediment varied tube results greatly; Packed sediment and rooted sediment proved a tough challenge for tube to go through
Other obstacles discovered are that shells and other debris embedded in the soil got in the way of tube sometimes
Vibration device or some sort of mechanism that loosens soil & debris should be implemented

Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Team has looked at past project website and design
Team has tested the amount of pressure needed to sink tube into different sediments
Team has yet to look into
Smaller Cameras

IR Vision
Method of implementing 40 intersection quadrant
Method of measuring wet weight vs. dry weight algae
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Recommended team to reference past team website/project
Team has already done so and will do so
Recommended a mechanism of sinking the device into the soil
Water chamber idea which when filled will sink device to the bottom of the water channel
Recommended a mechanism of loosening up soil if obstacles(shells/roots/other aquatic objects) get in the way of tube
Tube vibration mechanism which will produce vibrations loosening up soil/other debris
Tube cutting mechanism which will push obstacles out of the way by rotating the tube mouth
