The VCCA prides itself on giving back to the community. Each year we donate funds received through our basket raffle and 50/50 raffle to various organizations around the Commonwealth. Below are a few of the latest organizations we supported.

Employee Emergency Grant Program--Not sponsored by the VCCA

For over 30 years, the Virginia State Employee Assistance Fund (VSEAF) has been a way for employees to discretely help colleagues facing a financial crisis in times of emergency. Grants are funded solely by contributions from CVC and are limited to the funds available and raised. This year, we are proud to present our convenient new online application system for grant requests, making applying easy and convenient.

The Commonwealth is unique and fortunate in that it is the only state in the country to date that provides a program of this nature to its state employees. To apply simply go to VSEAF from a mobile phone or computer, review the criteria and submit an application. These small grants, unlike loans, are sources of assistance that do not have to be repaid.

There are also many ways to support the VSEAF through the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign this year, including volunteering on the VSEAF Committee. Just contact us at VSEAF@dhrm.virginia.gov to learn more.
