The following are awarded annually at the VCCA Annual Conference. Forms are only available during the nomination period.
- The VCCA Excellence in Communications awards recognize the skills of marketing, design, and print professionals within the Virginia Community College System.
- The VCCA Excellence in Education award is presented to a VCCA member that has been in good standing for a minimum of 5 years. The award winner is nominated by their peers and selected by the VCCA Executive committee through a secure vote before the annual conference each year. The full-time or retired staff or faculty member must demonstrate excellence in several significant contributions to education, the community college, and to professional development in and out of the VCCA.
- The VCCA Lifetime award is presented to a VCCA member that has been in good standing for a minimum of 10 years. The award winner is nominated by their peers and ultimately selected by the current delegates through a secure vote before the annual conference each year. The full-time or retired employee must demonstrate excellence in significant contributions to the VCCS and/or the VCCA.
- The VCCA Showcase faculty/staff award is presented to a VCCA member that is in good standing. The award winner is nominated and selected by their respective college in the VCCS. The outstanding faculty/staff member must demonstrate excellence in several significant contributions to education and their college.
