WEEK 3: SAFER INTERNET DAY online classroom event - Thursday 13 February (week 3) Stage 3 10-11 am and Stage 2 12-1 pm.

A 1 hour interactive presentation (including setup, 40 min presentation and Q&A) presented by the Office of the eSafety Commissioner. This is targeted for Primary students in years 4, 5 & 6, all NSW Department of Education schools are welcome to attend.
Celebrating the Safer Internet Day 2020 (SID) theme of "Keeping Safe in the Game" this session is to empower students to keep safe when gaming. For more information about SID go to www.esafety.gov.au/sid.
Students will explore skills for creating safer gaming environments including; balancing time online, dealing with abuse and cyberbullying, managing in-app purchases and accessing help and support.
This presentation will address Australian Curriculum Health and Physical Education outcomes including:
Practise skills to establish and manage relationships (ACPPS055)
Investigate community resources and ways to seek help about health, safety and wellbeing (ACPPS053)
And address elements of the General Capabilities including:
Personal and Social General Capability - Understanding relationships
ICT Capability - Apply personal security protocols

Make a poster to give advice to younger students on how to stay safe online.
