AUGUSTO BOAL SOLO PROJECT
Video of Augusto Boal Solo Project
Assessment of Augusto Boal Project is below
The student explains aspects of the theory as well as the theorist’s contexts. The use of sources, both primary and secondary, covers a wide range and they are effectively used.
The student explains a wide range of practical explorations of the theory that are carefully selected, appropriate and relevant. The reflection on the feedback received by others is quite superficial, with an outline of how this feedback contributed to the development of the piece.
The use of the selected aspect of theory is clear and relevant, and the intentions are fully met. There is effective use of theatrical elements in the performance, which are used to the service of fulfilling those intentions.
The evaluation of the work is clear and relevant. There is also a clear description of learning and of the implications this learning had on her theatre development.

Video of Steven Berkoff Solo Project
Assessment of Steven Berkoff Solo Project is Below
The student supports thorough research of the contexts of the theorist and the selected aspect with a wide variety of sources, both primary and secondary. The context is carefully explained.
The student provides a thorough practical exploration of the chosen aspect of theory and explains the contribution of feedback to her work.
The student uses the selected aspect of theory clearly and appropriately. There is an effective demonstration of performance techniques, especially regarding physicality and choral movement as described by the selected theorist, and an adequate use of space and relationship with the audience as intended by the student. Evidence regarding the use of voice is less evident.
There is a description of the extent to which intentions were met, especially after self–reflection on the performance. The student attempts at addressing comments from the audience, but this is somewhat underdeveloped. The reflection on the learning in theatre through the application of the theory and the experience of the solo piece is also barely outlined.
